Another Piano Recital has come and gone. I figured that I've been teaching piano for 9 years and that this was my 8th recital. Wow, that makes me sound old. But, I love teaching and I love doing recitals. There is such a feeling of accomplishment when your students work hard and are given an opportunity to perform and display their talents. I do lose sleep the night before worrying about each of them, but they always do awesome. This year was special because two of my kids played in the recital. I never would have thought that when I started teaching piano I would one day have two of my own kids in a recital. They both did great and I am so proud of them!! And, I am sleeping much better now that the recital is over :).

Lauren's first piano recital. She played 'The Caravan'
and 'Long,Long Ago'.

Connor played 'Blues Scales' and 'Dublin Town'

I played 'Dawn' from Pride and Prejudice and 'The Midnight Fire Alarm'

Kath,
Boy you were busy last night! THREE posts! Loved each of them. Last days of school are sad because I think that we realize that another year down ____ to go...
The running post was fun...you have an awsome gait.
The recital was wonderful! You should be so proud of yourself! Your students were awsome!
YOU are awsome!!!!
Okay, Kathy, lets bargain. You have to be Ava and Ruby's piano teacher!!!! I am not kidding, they won't even start for a year or two and I am willing to start paying monthly fees! :) I am so impressed with how when you do something, YOU DO IT~! I love how you make this a big deal for the kids, because it is, and your example and enthusiasm will be something that will keep them playing and reaching their goals.
Your recital was so good! You are such a good teacher! Connor, Lauren and You did such a great job! What talent!!
