It was a beautiful day and Mom needed some time away from the house and kids. This leaves Dad as the only supervising adult in the house with 3 kids and a very important football game to watch. You know where this is going. Upon my return home I notice scissors in the front room. Questionable, but I then think nothing of it. After giving Lauren a bath I notice TONS of hair in the tub. Questioning, I ask her,"Why is all that hair in the tub." She responds, calm as can be,"Oh, Cody gave me a haircut while I was practicing the piano." In my mind I refer back to the scissors I saw in the living room. I then frantically look at Lauren's hair to assess the damage. Not too bad (luckily), just bits and pieces gone here and there. I then run to the living room looking for precious locks of Lauren's hair on the ground. None to be found. Strange. Later, I ask Tony if he knew that Cody had cut Lauren's hair and he says,"Oh, that explains all the hair I found in the toilet." Now I am really questioning what all happened while I was gone when my husband did not seem alarmed by this discovery. Then, I go to comb Cody's hair and something is not right. Could he be a victim too??? Sure enough. A big chunk gone right out of the front. I ask him,"Cody, who cut your hair?" He responds with famous words,"Lauren did it."
So.....there you have it. The 'he cut mine, so I cut his' barbershop playtime that occurred while mom was getting some time off.

Oh Kathy, that's too funny!!! Gotta love Lauren and Cody!! So cute! Guys are so relaxed aren't they? Especially when it's College Football day, nothing seems to phase them.
Ugh, I hate that! Joelle has done it twice!
Oh the joys!!! Jack just gave himself a haircut yesterday. Two big chunks off the top. Not the first time either.
This truly is a funny story! So this is what I have to look forward to? Well, Cody is still as cute as can be!
Joshua once cut several chunks out of his own hair, but that was it. I think I would have died if he did it to Janae, her hair hardly grows as it is. How funny though! Like my car incident, you just have to laugh!
Can Cody fit me in later today for a trim? Sounds like he's mastered the layered look!
I have to laugh...as bad as it may seem, you are pretty dang lucky! I have seen much..much worse! I'm impressed you made it this long!I hate to say it...but 9 times out of 10, the unimaginable happened when daddy was in charge...go figure!!
I bet you cannot wait for cell phones, internet, & boyfriends/girlfriends! A little hair - that is NOTHING!! Hee hee!! Oh the joys & frustrations!! I need to see a picture of the hair cut off! That is what makes you sick!! Darn cute kids!!! Lisa
Too funny! I was teaching my little group of 4 year olds on the first day of school and was showing them the scissors when one little girl raised her hand and said, "My mommy doesn't let me use real scissors at our house!" I had to laugh to myself because I know how that mom felt. =) I think all of mine, EXCEPT Cam, have cut their own hair. Maybe Cam has too. I'm not really sure since Mike keeps it so short. =)
Way to funny! I have threatened my kids many times in hopes that they will never attempted to cut ANYONE'S hair. You just never know!!
